About Tapada do Falcão

Tapada do Falcão is the principal property
on the estate. Inside, the house is spacious and well equipped
with a large sitting room, dining hall and fully equipped kitchen,
all with doors leading to extensive outside terraces. The comfortable
sitting room has digital satellite TV, DVD player and a stereo
system as well as an extensive library and a grand piano. For
winter guests there are open fires in the sitting room and dining
hall. There are eight bedrooms (two with their own balconies
and ensuite facilities) and five bath/shower rooms (including
the two ensuite). |
| The house has two pools. The original 7 metre
pool is the central feature in a walled garden close to the
house and is unusual in that it has terracotta tiles and not
blue on the bottom. The larger 14 metre pool is 80 metres from
the house surrounded by lawns and terrace and with breathtaking
views to the hills beyond. There is a full sized trampoline,
hard tennis court in the gardens. Mountain bikes are available
to hire. |

Almost everyone will fall in love with the house and its beautiful
surroundings.We have successfully let to single families, two or three
families wanting to share together, or groups of friends or family
wanting to share a special occasion such as a birthday party or wedding
anniversary. Usually in these circumstances the house is let in conjunction
with the cottage, Casa
do Outeiro , which accommodates up to five more people.
Additional quality bed and breakfast accommodation is available locally
for the really big bash!
It is usually possible to arrange maid service for a small additional
charge payable locally.
